VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Thou shall not pollute the Earth. Thou shall beware genetic manipulation. Modern times bring with them modern sins. So the Vatican has told the faithful that they should be aware of "new" sins such as causing environmental blight.

The guidance came at the weekend when Archbishop Gianfranco Girotti, the Vatican's number two man in the sometimes murky area of sins and penance, spoke of modern evils.

Asked what he believed were today's "new sins," he told the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano that the greatest danger zone for the modern soul was the largely uncharted world of bioethics.

"(Within bioethics) there are areas where we absolutely must denounce some violations of the fundamental rights of human nature through experiments and genetic manipulation whose outcome is difficult to predict and control," he said.

The Vatican opposes stem cell research that involves destruction of embryos and has warned against the prospect of human cloning.

Girotti, in an interview headlined "New Forms of Social Sin," also listed "ecological" offences as modern evils.

In recent months, Pope Benedict has made several strong appeals for the protection of the environment, saying issues such as climate change had become gravely important for the entire human race.

My artist sweet brother the Photographer with his fancy nick name...Titi,always smailing and extremely sociable,very manly and also atractive.His passion to capture nature and people it was amazing I will remember him all my life,problably I learned to love life from Him.

In my joungers years I respect him very much and he show me the same respect.Today I got black and white images about him and his wonderfull work.

Hello Hermes,

Many, many years ago a close friend of mine had graduated from Fines Arts School, but he just wasn't very good at what he created. You have beautiful talent. Maybe you should look for a gallery in the New York area, perhaps in SOHO. If a gallery likes your work, then they will have a showing of your work. They should have An Art Reception, sometimes called an Art Opening. It is a special night when they advertise for their customers to all come in (somewhat like a party) to view the Artist's collection of Work. They usually serve complimentary white wine, cheeses, and crackers. The customers view the Art Work and walk around the gallery, discussing their ideas of what the work symbolizes or reminds them of, or how they like the technique or the colors used by the Artist. The Artist can say what he intended in the pictures, OR he can say he wants the customer/viewer to decide what the picture means to each of them in their own mind.

Best wishes, and I hope you decide to get a gallery to represent you, but if you don't want to part with your creations, that is always an option also.

Around 2003 Lost.

My head was spening,I did not know my place in this world,moving to a different places in less then a year,thats a record.

I think it was by the year 2003 when I move in to a place,call my own and in two days I move out,I had any escuse for me to feeling unconfortable and run out from any place.

After my mother's gone for good,my mind lost something important and I wasent sure what it was.......when she was alive she never told me nothing negative about my art painting on the contrary,always please with my work and support me in any task.

Now I know for sure that we always lost something in our path.,it could be anything.

Staying in one of my friends House,one day I started drawing in Envelopes, the regular ones,those that we use for sanding letters and I was feeling confortable doing that type of therapy if we can name that therapy, well my brain was geting stronger day by day then ,I have an Idea,prepare my self for an Art Exhibit why not..!!!

Today I came to realice what it was that I lost... I lost the meaning of my excistence in this incredible human journey,and finnaly I find it....thanks also to a great and wonderfull person...My Mother. J.A.Hernandez.

Yes in July 2006 my Art Exhibit was on...and I had very good feed Back finding Myself.

It's been three weeks since my return from the other side of the world. Malaysia. What can I say, the experience has really altered my perspective on people, food, life, nature - even insects! The country is absolutely beautiful with it's lush jungles, breath taking skyscapes and vast china sea. kept a journal while on my journey and I would like to share with you some excerpts from it:

Before the flight



Four hours before the flight. I'm all packed and ready to go as I'm sitting here watching my good friends Vani & Ask run about their home getting their things ready as they will be joining me on this journey I'm about to take. I'm excited and can't wait to get on this plane. I have no idea what exactly this trip will entail other than some locations & activities that are on the itinerary that Vani's uncle Selva (He lives in Kajung, Malaysia) has given us. The not knowningness makes for more feeling of adventure and a childlike excitement that has me beaming with joy. The flight will be 18 hours so I packed lots of reaing material but I have a feeling I will probably be doing a lot of sleeping. It's interesting to be in this moment now considering a couple of weeks ago I dreaded waking up for work the next day and not I am on unemployment (laid off) and on my way to the other side of the world with no idea of what I will do when I come back other than that I will be taking an extended hiatus from the good ol 9-5 lifestyle. Painting and relaxing sound like something I'd rather do for the next few months anyway. Looks like it's time to go...

BERLIN (Reuters) - German academics believe they have solved the centuries-old mystery behind the identity of the "Mona Lisa" in Leonardo da Vinci's famous portrait.


Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a wealthy Florentine merchant, Francesco del Giocondo, has long been seen as the most likely model for the sixteenth-century painting.

But art historians have often wondered whether the smiling woman may actually have been da Vinci's lover, his mother or the artist himself.

Now experts at the Heidelberg University library say dated notes scribbled in the margins of a book by its owner in October 1503 confirm once and for all that Lisa del Giocondo was indeed the model for one of the most famous portraits in the world.

"All doubts about the identity of the Mona Lisa have been eliminated by a discovery by Dr. Armin Schlechter," a manuscript expert, the library said in a statement on Monday.

Until then, only "scant evidence" from sixteenth-century documents had been available. "This left lots of room for interpretation and there were many different identities put forward," the library said.

The notes were made by a Florentine city official Agostino Vespucci, an acquaintance of the artist, in a collection of letters by the Roman orator Cicero.

The comments compare Leonardo to the ancient Greek artist Apelles and say he was working on three paintings at the time, one of them a portrait of Lisa del Giocondo.

Art experts, who have already dated the painting to this time, say the Heidelberg discovery is a breakthrough and the earliest mention linking the merchant's wife to the portrait.

"There is no reason for any lingering doubts that this is another woman," Leipzig University art historian Frank Zoellner told German radio. "One could even say that books written about all this in the past few years were unnecessary, had we known."

The woman was first linked to the painting in around 1550 by Italian official Giorgio Vasari, the library said, but added there had been doubts about Vasari's reliability and had made the comments five decades after the portrait had been painted.

The Heidelberg notes were actually discovered over two years ago in the library by Schlechter, a spokeswoman said.

Although the findings had been printed in the library's public catalogue they had not been widely publicized and had been received little attention until a German broadcaster decided to do some recording at the library, she said.

The painting, which hangs in the Louvre in Paris, is also known as "La Gioconda" meaning the happy or joyful woman in Italian, a title which also suggests the woman's married name.

Just ONE word.



When all Humans share just ONE word each other...we are going to be in a better place,sometime I got this privilege with only two or three cyber friends and this is Ok,I dont ask no more becouse Life is beautifull and very complicate at the same time... and Iam talking about every ONE not only ARTIST.
When we are LONLY and Miserable,dont blame it on people,blame it on your self.....This is my point in just ONE word.

So here we are. Just about any scrap of canvas or even paper by Andy Warhol is worth at least a million dollars and usually several. Richard Prince’s retro “Nurse” paintings have cleared $6 million less than five years after they were made. And Jeff Koons’s least-interesting baubles, despite glimmers of anti-bauble intent, go for as much as $23 million.

Be grateful, then, for Lawrence Weiner’s mind-stretching 40-year retrospective at the Whitney Museum of American Art, which is respite, wake-up call and purification rite all in one. It should be required viewing for anyone interested in today’s art, especially people who frequent contemporary art auctions.

What Is Global Warming?....By National Geographic


The Planet is Heating Up—and Fast
Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are drying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. It's becoming clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives. Called greenhouse gases, their levels are higher now than in the last 650,000 years.

We call the result global warming, but it is causing a set of changes to the Earth's climate, or long-term weather patterns, that varies from place to place. As the Earth spins each day, the new heat swirls with it, picking up moisture over the oceans, rising here, settling there. It's changing the rhythms of climate that all living things have come to rely upon.

What will we do to slow this warming? How will we cope with the changes we've already set into motion? While we struggle to figure it all out, the face of the Earth as we know it—coasts, forests, farms and snow-capped mountains—hangs in the balance......

Is not that I dont Belive it, is hard for me to cope with another global warming cousing by Us the Humans , when every one knows I think the Universe is changing constantly and if we going to have another global warming blame it at the Universe Evolution.

If a report Libération obtained a copy of is to be believed, “starting in the fall of 2008, teaching the history of the arts” will become “compulsory” in secondary school and even elementary school.

The most strong feeling that human can have in the body sistem,when we out of this feelings Life is lets painfull.
I remember my Best Friend,like it was yesterday,thanks God the beautifull pain in being in Love is in the Past.
I love a person for almost 20 years,we were in some way very happy,of course life has ups and down and we manage to understand each other,to support our needs and moments of sadness.
Today after many years my mind is thinking,I want my Best Friend back in my Life...!!!
But another voice in side of is saying...
